Christmas's past I would decorate over and beyond. I loved it. I still do, but between volunteering and running our two boys between sports practices/games, music lessons, and what not, I have narrowed my decorating to a simpler manner. I also find myself focusing more on what the season is about...the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I am finding I need more peace and solace at this time of year. It doesn't mean I've dropped everything (I mean, I use to hang garland around the ceiling's crown molding and weave ornaments and ribbon among it), I still enjoy baking...and passing what I have created along to friends as gifts. Here is just a small glimpse of the magic I work each year...and yes, somehow I still find ways of changing it up each year. My mother walks into our house each year and thinks I have bought new tid bits, but alas, I haven't. Like I said, if anything I have made things simpler.
